About All On 4 Dental Implants
All-On-4 a revolutionary new solution for those who have lost a large portion of their teeth, or who are on their way to losing a portion of their teeth. All-On-4 consists of four fixed implants that take maximum advantage of the existing bone to keep them in place.
A relatively simple procedure, All-On-4 implants can completely replicate the look and feel of natural, healthy teeth. They don’t need to be removed or adhered to your mouth like traditional dentures. Only your dentist can remove them. You can brush and floss these comfortable implants just like usual.
Benefits of All On 4
With the new All-On-4 dental implants, you can eat and drink virtually anything you would like. Unlike traditional procedures, they typically require no bone grafting, which saves you time, discomfort, and money. And in just two visits, you will leave our office with a beautiful set of healthy, natural-looking teeth.
And like every procedure at Christensen Family Dentistry, you’ll receive a free consultation for your All-On-4 assessment. Our friendly staff will get your appointment scheduled at a time that’s best for you, so you can be on the road to a healthy, full smile in no time.
How the All on 4 Process Works
We will be able to proceed once we have conducted a consultation to see if the treatment is right for you. During the process, you will normally be given a local anaesthetic alongside extra sedation. You will be fitted with a prosthetic arch and can receive a new, more robust denture after the implants have had enough time to fully integrate with the bone. Patients are advised to enjoy a soft diet whilst this process is occurring.
Our CT scan technology allows us to safely integrate implants in the bone, with tilted implants enabling us to avoid nerves and sinuses. This treatment can help you avoid having to pay out for costly bone grafting and sinus lifting procedures. All-on-4 dental implants were designed with low bone density patients in mind. This innovative treatment has been available for more than a decade and has an incredible success rote. The treatment allows surgeons make use of available bone even in cases of low bone density.
After the scan has taken place, we can identify the spots with the most density and place four implants appropriately, with two in the front and two in the back of the mouth. The front implants are installed at 90 degree angles, whilst the back ones are placed in at 45 degrees. This means you should be able to bite and chew normally without the implants becoming loose. You will be given temporary dentures for between 3-6 months before permanent dentures are provided. The final prosthesis will normally be made from titanium or zirconium.
